We're gonna try something new. Since we are damn close to 1000 FB fans, we're gonna do a little trial promo that ends up with you guys getting free KFT swag. Here's how it works: all you gotta do is tell three friends to "like" us on Facebook and we'll mail you a free KFT sticker (see above) that you can throw up on your laptop, car, dorm room or wherever your heart desires! After your friends "like" our page, email us your name, the names of the three friends you told, and your mailing address and we'll take care of the rest. On your marks, get set, go!

Project 46

Here is a new progressive house/electro group you NEED to check out.....now. Out of Vancouver and Waterloo, Canada, Project 46 has been blowing up dance floors everywhere in 2011. They have a distinct style (that you'll realize after listening to them) and feature a wide array of sounds including (my absolute favorite) piano riffs, melodic synths, kick drums, and even some eargasmic vocals (see: "Crazy"). With their Miami Winter Music Conference debut quickly approaching, you can already count on some insane releases in 2012. Consider this post an early (or late) holiday gift, from me to you.

Flamingosis

Flamingosis, my boy from Motown, NJ, who now attends F&M, dropped this in January to hail in the New Year in style. I thought I'd wait to post it so I could do an intensive post to give you the full-411. Flamingosis is a vocal percussionist, music producer, and all-around entertainer, who's main goal is to keep making real beats, none of that "crunk" nonsense. His influences include Chemical Brothers, Flying Lotus, Kenny Muhammad, Earth Wind and Fire, and many more. He's a man of the people, and is all for collaborations, so definitely keep an eye out.

Daniel of Sparta

All you heavy dubstep fans out there: take a bite out of this. Daniel Simmons, producing as DanielofSparta, is a Media Writing and Production major at the University of Miami. With influences ranging from Skrillex to hip hop producer Boi 1da, Daniel leverages his classical music training to create high impact dubstep remixes with an original, studio produced sound.

Fairytale

Now this is what I call a solid submission! With an unexpectedly high quality sound, this duo is definitely gonna do big things. Headed by twin brothers Brandon and Jesse, the duo from Long Beach, NY Fairytale has been picking up steam over the past 12 months and is finally poised to release their debut free album Real Men Don't Read. Separating themselves from the pack with their witty lyricism, metaphors and storytelling, Fairytale has continued to build a buzz despite being located at different schools (UPenn and UMich). Their first major show will be on April 6th, where they will open up for J.Cole at the University of Michigan.

Show some love by visiting their Facebook page or checking them out on Soundcloud.

DJ Xristo

Let me introduce you to DJ Christos Diamantidis, aka DJ Xristo. He's a fellow New Jerseyite outta Randolph, to whom I have to show some major love. For the past 5 years, Xristo has taken his passion for music and turned it into an experience for others to embrace as well. Whether it be from creating his own sounds through production, or mixing it live on the dance floor, he has been able to bring the music that he calls "paradise", to his audience! He combines "melodic house notes" with "get down dirty electro basses" to bring an unique sound to any dancefloor. Look out for this up and coming producer in the EDM scene; he's starting local, but he could be doing big things in the future.
